S&D Coffee Expands Its Buffalo & Spring Line of Premium Coffees

Concord, NC – Today, national coffee manufacturer S&D Coffee announced it will add two new coffees, Beija-Flor and Earth Song Decaffeinated Blend to its Buffalo & Spring™ Coffees of Distinction line.  This expansion comes as response to the success of and growing demand for the company’s Buffalo & Spring line, which was launched in early spring to help high-end hotels/resorts, colleges/universities and finer restaurants satisfy the more sophisticated tastes of consumers accustomed to buying premium coffee in a retail setting.

Both Beija-Flor and Earth Song Decaf are mild roast coffees with medium body.  Beija-Flor has a crisp acidity with a sparkling finish, while Earth Song Decaf offers a moderately spicy finish.  In addition, Earth Song Decaf is a Fair-Trade Certified™ coffee, meaning that the beans are grown based on principles of sustainable growth and that workers receive a higher portion of the profits from the sale of the beans they grow and harvest.

“Our Buffalo & Spring line has been extremely well-received in our targets markets, especially in universities, where the demand high-quality coffee and Fair-Trade Certified, socially responsible products continues to grow quite rapidly,” said Ron Hinson, S&D President.  “We’ve added these new coffees to help round out the line in terms of offering more mild roast and decaffeinated options.”

The product expansion will also allow S&D to increase its support of Coffee Kids, an organization that seeks to improve the quality of life for coffee-farming families around
